Tonic/Traversing Terrains

Tonic/Traversing Terrains was made following the 2020 pandemic and subsequent series of cancelled and postponed artworks and manifestations due to occur in The New Forest. It’s a hand-held exhibition, an In Real Life object which presents a tonic to the limitations placed on projects of the time. Published by More Than Ponies, it is an alternative guidebook featuring artists’ pages that speculate on current and new ways of experiencing ancient terrains. It explores ideas of how landscapes (anywhere) may be seen or mapped, and how they may become diverse metaphors or a restorative tonic.

 Contributions by Annabel include ‘Mossy Witch’ (below) & ‘Trauma Blanket’; Collaborative workings with Ox Art (Annabel Pettigrew & Rob MacPherson) ‘The Divine Spirits of The New Forest’ & ‘Divining The New Forest’; Collaborative pages with PaP Collective; Limited edition incense; ‘Incense of The New Forest’, a combination of botanicals, flora and fauna, that represents each season, collected and blended by Annabel during PaP meet-ups throughout 2020.
